Venue: The SERCCC track is located at the rear of the Gloria Pyke netball complex, Bennett St, Dandenong. (Dandenong Showgrounds).

3 X 6 minute qualifying heats (Staggered starts Nitro, grid starts EP, IFMAR Qualifying system)

Sunday

1 X 6 minute heat qualifying heat

3 X 6 minute finals (points based on best 2 out of 3)

Trophies: Trophies will be awarded to 1st to 3rd places in each class.

Suggested Program: *Track open for practice Saturday 9:30-11am

*Track closed for racing meeting 11.00am to 11.15am

*1st Qualifying Round starts 11.30am

*30 minute lunch break after first round on Saturday

*Note: timing of events, and qualifying format to be advised on the day.

*Racing to start 9:30 no practice is allowed Sunday morning.

Entry Fees: $25.00 First class entered.

$15.00 first class if under 16.

$10.00 per additional class.

Location & Facility:

The SERCCC circuit is located at Dandenong Showgrounds, with easy access just off East Link freeway.

  • A Drivers rostrum which can comfortably accommodate 12 + competitors and is well elevated, providing an excellent view of the circuit
  • Male and Female toilets less than 100m away.
  • Parking is available trackside on site.
  • A lap counting shed, incorporating the AMBrc3 lap counting system
  • Power available, just plug in.
  • BYO tables, chairs, marquees, extension power leads as require.

The Circuit: The track is setup using wooden boards and flexible poly pipe, with an estimated length of 240m. The asphalt produces awesome grip levels even in cold conditions. No additives are sprayed on the track, giving the ability to run foam and rubber tires. The track consists of a combination of some tight hair pin corners, some very fast flowing corners, with easy flowing access into the pit lane.

Note: AMB RC Personal Transponders accepted

All frequencies will be confirmed on race day.

Rules & regulations:

  1. Please check in your radio frequency with race director upon arriving at the track. During the event any frequency change, even from fixed to spread spectrum, must be approved by the Race Director and be recorded in the lap counting system.
  2. Please keep pit area free of rubbish, bins will be provided.
  3. Competitors (or a substitute) should be at their designated marshalling position no later then the three minute mark of the count down to the race start. Failing to marshal may incur a penalty of the loss of best heat to date without warning.
  4. Unacceptable behaviour or abusive language will not be tolerated in any area during this event. After the 1st warning, the penalty shall be disqualification from the event.
  5. We ask Gas powered competitors to abide by our “No refuelling on the asphalt in the pit lane” rule; all refuelling is to be carried out either over the concrete pit area or on the grass area.

Race day format:

09:00 – Set track up / start taking entries
10:00 – Entries close - do grid listings
10:15 – Drivers meeting
10:30 - Start of qualifying session
11:30 – Heat 1
12:30 – Lunch and sort out finals
13:00 – Heat 2
14:00 – Heat 3
15:00 – Heat 4
16:00 – End racing and pack away track

Notes

  1. Classes to be Nitro (any type), 540 Pro, Super Stock, Mini, and Novice (nitro and electric.
  2. All races are 6 minutes, the best 3 races for the day count for points.
  3. Maximum of 1 hour for each qualifying and heat sessions.
  4. No entries will be taken after the start of qualifying.
  5. All heats will be grid starts. Starting positions in Heat 1 will be based on positions currently held in series. Starting position in the other heats will be in the order previous heat finished.
  6. Except for Novice class, points will be awarded to all drivers for each heat – 50 points for 1st, 48 points for 2nd, 46 points for 3rd, etc. For the round points each drivers best three heats will be counted.
  7. Final points at the end of the series will be based on each drivers best five rounds (out of seven).
  8. Trophies for top three positions in each class except for Novice. A trophy will be awarded to the ‘Most Improved Driver’ in the Novice class.
  9. A Novice driver may be promoted to another class during the series at the discretion of the Race Director.
