Nitro Pro

This class is for the more serious racer.  High powered engines and aerodynamics play a role in some high speed racing!

Currently there are no rules for this class other than the need to be 1:10 on road.  Beginning with the summer series the rules below will become mandatory.

Rules

This class will follow the rules for the AARCMCC IC 1/10th 200mm Tourer Class, with the following exceptions:

  1.  2 Can-am bodies have been approved for use in this class - the Blitz 1:10 VDS (P/N 60107N) and the Protoform T530 (P/N 1480)

Rules

  1. If the rules do not specifically state that a part can be altered, YOU CAN'T DO IT!
  2. Absolutely no changes to the configuration of the chassis, or cutting of the chassis parts is allowed. No replacement parts of graphite or other high tech materials.
  3. No changes to steering blocks, axle or springs; Shims are allowed on springs to stiffen front ends. You may put a washer behind the e-clip on the front axle to stop it from pulling thru the steering block.
  4. Original front steering rods can be bent as required. Double lock collars are allowed on each side of the steering linkage to prevent slippage.
  5. Factory front bumper only and it must remain on the car.
  6. Ball bearings are allowed but they must be the same size and shape as the iolite bushings.
  7. No changes are allowed to the rear axle or differential. Must have a 81 tooth 48 pitch spur gear and 15 tooth pinion.
  8. Only Genuine R/C Legends bodies are allowed. No changes allowed from trim lines, except for 6mm tolerance around the wheels. Body must be painted and all windows to be clear. It is legal to reinforce the inside of the body with tape, lexan or shoe goo.
  9. No rollover or stiff antennas allowed.
  10. Only legends kit tires on factory wheels are allowed (with yellow stripe)
  11. Only Johnson 540 silver end bell motors are allowed.
  12. Only 6 cell 7.2V battery of no more than 3600 MAH may be used and must be mounted down the centre of the chassis.
  13. 5241 3pc front axle plate is allowed to facilitate easier access to repair the front end of the car.
  14. A min weight is to be set.
  15. Any radio and electronic speed control may be used, NO REVERSE ALLOWED.
  16. All Bodies must have space on the roof for club numbers to be displayed.
  17. Personal transponders may be used, or the must be a safe place to mount the clubs transponder.
